Natural Hair Updo

For a few months, I’ve not taken care of my hair as I used to.
It began to break, the ends dry, moisture was almost nonexistent and we all know that’s a no-no for natural hair.

I decided things had to change. During the weekend, I gave my hair the love and care it deserved/deserves.

I conditioned it overnight on Friday with a cheap split ends conditioner. I spritzed the hair then added conditioner before putting the tresses in Bantu knots.
The next morning, I rinsed the conditioner out, cut off a bit of the dead ends, then conditioned again with my mayonnaise, honey, egg, coconut oil and Tresemme Curl Hydration Conditioner.

My plan is to cut the dead ends bit by bit until they’re all gone.

After about half an hour or so, I washed out the conditioner, then twisted the hair.
This morning- Tuesday- I did my first natural hair Updo! Yup!!!
I’m very handicapped when it comes to doing styles I see on YouTube.

It didn’t come out the best, but I’m hopeful that as time goes by, I’ll be better at the styles. Who knows I might someday be comfortable enough to give natural hair tutorials! ( I can’t even say that with a straight face!) lol

For 2015, I’m making a commitment to take better care of my hair. I know so many people have said that before and it’s almost cliche, but I’ll do my best to stick to it.
