Welcome!
Thanks for checking my blog! π
This is mostly going to have my undiluted, uninfluenced, sometimes naive but honest opinions about happenings around me.
Most of all, I’m going to vent a lot through this blog.
I do hope though, that through thisΒ blog, I can entertain you, inspire you, maybe even educate you, encourage you and pray for you.
Oh, this is suppose to be “About” and not another post. So who am I?
My name is Ngovou Gyang.
Most people call me Vou. (When I moved to the Virgin Islands from Nigeria, the Principal in my High School couldn’t pronounce my name. Even though Vou is really the short form for my name. She had this twist to it… she actually pronounced it “Voo.” I’ve been called “Voo” ever since.
I love to read (not all the time), I love sleeping, cooking, writing poems, taking long walks, exercising and listening to music. I love God, I love my family and I love being in the company of my very close friends.
I’m a closet photographer, Jollof Rice enthusiast and an introvert.
I’m only about 20-something-years young! (This was written so many years ago, I’m in my 30s now.)
Enough of my long talking, get reading.
Smile, laugh, play, eat, fart and be silly. Life is too short.
And oh, let us get this straight, views I express on my blog are my personal views and have got nothing to do with the publication I write for π , and if you take anything I write here too seriously then my love, you need to visit a shrink ASAP!
Feel free to leave a comment on each post you read and also hit the “Like” button.

Awww thanks! I really appreciate it!
Great words Vou, sure to follow.
Thank you! Happy reading π
Very interesting name. What does it mean?
Thanks! It’s a Berom name from Plateau State. Decades ago when Berom people were predominantly hunters, they named their children after animals. That went on for years. So to answer your question, the Berom people say my name means “Mother Antelope.” Really cool right? Lol
It is indeed amazing. Mother antelope, I like. Protective yet gentle, progresses fast. Berom on the Virgin Islands. My mind is blown!
Hahah! Stranger things have happened Sir Farouk! Lol
Just found your blog and I love it! β€

Hello Vou. I think you have a beautiful site. I’m always delighted to meet a storyteller who blogs. Its different from simply blogging. There’s a gift in your writing.
